Pinterest Challenge: Blast Off!

Sherry from Young House Love and Katie from Bower Power are hosting another one of their delightful Pinterest Challenges. I love these! It's a great way to get folks motivated to create something of their own based on something they've loved and pinned on Pinterest (I made a feather pillow, in the last one I participated in).

First up, I had to pick a pin from my pinboards that would inspire my own project. I decided to go with this fun little guy:

I first saw this project a few months ago when it was featured on Craftzine (originally from Been There, Pinned That). I only just now remembered to pin it, but back when I saw it I posted it to my facebook page with the hopes one of my friends with kiddos would make one. A friend offered me a different challenge: make one for your dog. And take pictures.

Oh it is ON.

Faster than a racing snail! More powerful than a pack of angry kittens! Slightly stinkier than your average stinky! It's ROCKET DOG!

He's a good Samaritan, and very speedy. He keeps an eye on things in the neighborhood...

Helps others look for stuff that smells weird...

Holds very still when danger approaches, so as to not spook any perps...

Waters the plants...

A lot...

Have no fear, citizens! Everything is under control!

Such a good sport, this guy. For a full tutorial, check out Been There, Pinned That. And be sure to check out all the other challenge projects at Young House Love and Bower Power!

Love it! The silver jacket adds just the right touch of space explorer to complete the outfit.
