Kim Westad

I have been eyeing the work of ceramist Kim Westad for a while, but it wasn't until just recently I noticed she makes more than porcelain bowls and vases... she makes pendants too!

I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted, I really love the Salmon and Coral versions she has available, but I finally decided Honeysuckle was the one for me. It accentuates my lovely Fourth of July sunburn (I wore SPF 70!).

I think her work is really amazing, very inspiring to me. I love how you can see the sea life influence in almost all of her pieces, even if it's just very subtle. Her stuff is VERY reasonably priced (seriously), it's definitely worth taking a spin through her Etsy store.

Also, she was featured in Etsy's Storque a while back. Here's the process video they did on her, gives a fun little sneak peek into her studio and the creation of her signature Sweet Peas...

Wow that Pendant is super cool. So is her pottery! Neat stuff :)

You should totally take a sharpie and draw a smiley face on your non sunburned circle ^_^

Oh man, I'm sooooooo glad I wasn't wearing it when I got burned. Otherwise, I would HAVE to draw a smiley in it! :)

I like her work. Think you may have helped me find some new products which will be added to my kitchen products!
