This is getting a little closer size-wise, but the stitches still feel huge to me. I think one more hook size down will do it. The real versions will be a little longer on both the mitten parts and the cuffs, but this is pretty close for a test run. I still don't know what colors to do them in... I want to make them striped and sassy, so we'll see what I come up with.
I'll post pics of the real deals after I give them to my friend. If they aren't complete crap, that is! I could always just submit them to CraftFail if they are a total disaster.
